Software & apps

iOS and Android apps, from idea to the app stores.

We design and build mobile apps for iPhone and Android — usually from one shared codebase so both platforms launch together — connect them to your systems, publish them to the App Store and Google Play, and keep them updated as the platforms change. The backend your app talks to runs on secure servers we manage.

The short answer

Do we need a mobile app, or is a website enough?

Many businesses don’t need an app — a fast, mobile-friendly website does the job. An app earns its place when people use it often and it does something a website can’t do as well: working offline in the field, sending timely notifications, using the camera, scanner or location, or keeping a customer signed in for repeat orders and loyalty.

If your customers would visit once or twice a year, we will usually recommend a better website or a web app instead, which works on every device without a download. If they would open it every week, or your staff need it all day, a native app is worth it.

How it’s built

Shared codebase or fully native?

Most of our apps share one codebase across iPhone and Android. Some features call for platform-specific code. We choose per project and explain why.

Your part

What do you need from us to build an app?

A clear goalWho the app is for and the one or two jobs it must do well.
Developer accountsApple Developer and Google Play accounts in your business’s name.
Content & brandingLogo, colors, text and images, or a brief for us to work from.
System accessAccess to Odoo or other systems the app must connect to.
Test usersA few real customers or staff to try the prototype and beta.
Quick decisionsSomeone who can approve screens and answer questions promptly.
After launch

What happens after the app is in the stores?

Apps need regular care. Apple and Google release new versions of iOS and Android every year, change store rules and retire old features; an app nobody updates slowly stops working well. We keep your app compatible, fix issues reported by users, and ship improvements in planned releases. The backend and database the app relies on are hosted on our managed servers, with backups and monitoring, so the whole system has one team looking after it.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Do we need our own developer accounts?
Yes — apps are published under your business’s Apple Developer and Google Play accounts so you own them. We guide you through setting them up.
iPhone and Android at the same time?
Usually, yes. A shared codebase lets both launch together; we use fully native code when a feature needs it.
How long does app review take?
Apple and Google review every release. Most reviews are quick, but we plan launch dates with time for it.
Can the app work without an internet connection?
Yes, if it is designed for it. Field apps often save work on the device and sync when a connection returns. We decide what must work offline during discovery, because it shapes how the app is built.
Can we send push notifications?
Yes. Users choose whether to allow them, so we help you plan notifications people actually want — order updates, reminders, appointment changes — rather than constant promotions.
Who owns the app and its code?
You do. The app is published under your developer accounts, and the code and data belong to your business.
Can you improve an app another developer built?
Often, yes. We review the code, the backend and the store listings first, then recommend whether to continue with it or rebuild parts of it.
How is an app project priced?
We scope it with you first, then quote a fixed price per stage or work on dedicated monthly hours. See how we work.
