Low-pressure steam, never axes or hammers, so the shingles survive. We open a channel and clear the eavestrough.

The fix most roofers skip. We seal the gaps that push warm, moist air into the attic: pot lights, the hatch, plumbing stacks, top plates.

FAQ

Straight answers for a long winter.

Water coming through now?

Don't climb onto an icy roof or chip ice with an axe or hammer. Move valuables, put down a bucket, and switch off the breaker for any light fixture that's dripping. Then call us.

Will a new roof stop my ice dams?

Usually not on its own. Ice dams come from heat reaching the roof deck. A new roof with ice-and-water shield stops the leak, but the dam keeps forming until the attic is sealed, insulated and vented. Try it on the dial above.

Do I need a permit to re-roof in Ottawa?

Like-for-like re-roofing usually doesn't need one. Structural changes, new skylights or major deck work may. Rules vary by municipality, so we confirm with the City of Ottawa or Ville de Gatineau for your address and handle the permit if one is needed.

Can I cancel after I sign?

In Ontario, if you sign a contract at home, you have a 10-day cooling-off period to cancel. It's written on our contract. Quebec contracts follow Quebec consumer rules, and we explain them in your language before you sign.

Can you work in winter?

Yes for steam removal, leak repair, air sealing, insulation and ventilation. Full re-roofs are best above −5 °C so shingles seal properly. We'll tell you honestly if waiting for spring is better.

Is the service available in French?

Oui. Our Gatineau crew works in French and English, and estimates, contracts and reports come in the language you choose.
