How a re-roof runs
A week on your roof, day by day.
You can stay home the whole time. The house is never left open overnight: anything we strip is sheeted the same day.
Day 1
Scaffold & rail
Edge protection goes up, the yard is covered and the driveway kept clear for you.
Day 1–2
Strip the tiles
Tiles and old mortar come off in sections and go to recycling, not landfill.
Day 2
Frame & blanket
Battens checked or replaced, tie-downs upgraded, sarking and a foil blanket laid.
Day 3–4
Steel on
Sheets run ridge to gutter, screw-fixed, with flashings, valleys and ridge capping.
Day 5
Gutters & handover
New gutters, a magnet sweep for screws, before-and-after photos and your warranty.

Deposits are capped by Queensland law (5% for contracts of $20,000 or more). We invoice the rest by stage, never up front.

South-east Queensland storms arrive fast, often with hail. Safety comes before any repair, and you don't need to climb anything.
Stay off the roof
Wet steel and broken tiles are dangerous. Keep everyone inside and away from sagging ceilings.
Water near power?
If it's safe, switch off at the switchboard and call a licensed electrician.
Call the SES
For emergency help with a damaged roof, call the SES on 132 500. In danger, call 000.
Photograph it
From the ground and inside: ceilings, gutters, debris. Dated photos help any claim.

We write a dated report with photos your insurer can use. Whether a claim is accepted is up to your insurer, and we'll never tell you otherwise.
Our asbestos statement
Built before 1990? We test before anyone touches it.
Many Brisbane homes have asbestos cement sheeting on the roof, eaves or old patio covers. Left alone and intact, it's usually stable.
Never water-blast, cut, drill or walk on it. If we suspect it, a sample is tested first. Removal is done by a licensed asbestos removalist under Queensland rules, with disposal records you keep.

Straight answers
Re-roofing questions
Will a steel roof be hotter or noisier?
Not with a foil-faced blanket under the sheets. It reflects heat and deadens rain noise. A lighter colour helps further with heat.
Do I need council approval?
Often not for a like-for-like house re-roof, but character and heritage areas can have rules on roof material and colour. We check your property's overlays before we quote.
What if it rains while the tiles are off?
We only strip what we can sheet the same day, and we watch the radar. Anything left open gets a weighted tarp before we leave.
Can you work around my solar panels?
Yes. A licensed electrician lifts and refits them as part of the job, and it's shown as its own line on the quote.
How much deposit do you take?
No more than Queensland law allows: 5% on contracts of $20,000 or more, 10% under that. The rest is invoiced by stage.
What warranty do I get?
A written 10-year workmanship warranty (sample) from us, plus the steel maker's own product warranty, which depends on how close you are to the coast.
