Check the register

Check any clearance firm in under a minute

1

Ask for the carrier number. It starts CBDU in England. "Fully licensed" with no number is not enough.

2

Search the public register. Environment Agency register. The name and tier should match.

3

Get a transfer note. It says what was taken and where it went. If your waste is fly-tipped, it is your proof.

These are sample figures for January to September 2026. We publish them with the method underneath, and we never claim everything is recycled.

    How we measure it

Every load is weighed in and out at the permitted transfer station, and the site's ticket is filed against your note number.

The transfer station reports what share of each mixed load it recycles. We use their monthly figure, not our own guess.

Donated items are counted when the charity signs for them. Items they cannot use come back into the weighed loads.

Duty of care, in plain English

The law says your rubbish is your problem. Until it's ours.

Householders have a legal duty of care for their waste. If an unregistered "man with a van" dumps it, the council can trace it back and fine you. Here is who does what.

    YOUThree things to do

    • Check the carrier number on the public register before the van arrives.
    • Tell us about anything unusual, such as paint, gas bottles or broken boards.
    • Keep your copy of the transfer note. We email it too.

    USEverything else

    • Carry the waste ourselves as a registered upper-tier carrier.
    • Take it only to permitted sites, and keep the site tickets.
    • Write, sign and keep the transfer note for at least two years.

What we won't take, and who will

    Asbestos

Never touched by us. Use a licensed asbestos contractor, or ask the council about small amounts.

    Gas bottles

They can explode when crushed. Return them to the supplier; most take them back free.

    Paint & chemicals

Liquid paint, oils and garden chemicals go to a household waste recycling centre.

    Clinical waste

Sharps and medical waste go through your pharmacy or the council's clinical collection.

    Questions

    Before you book.

Driver handing a householder a signed waste transfer note on a clipboard
Is it cheaper than a skip?

Often, for smaller jobs. A skip on the road needs a council permit and you do the loading. We load, sweep up and leave in about an hour. For a long building job a skip can work out cheaper, and we will say so.

What is a waste transfer note?

A short record of what waste changed hands, who took it, its code and where it is going. Both sides sign it and keep it for two years. It is your proof you used a registered carrier.

    Why do sofas cost extra?

Upholstered seating can contain persistent organic pollutants (POPs). It has to be kept apart from other waste and sent for incineration, which costs the site more. We show that cost per seat, not hidden in the total.

    Can you come today?

If you book before noon on a weekday, usually yes. Otherwise we offer two-hour arrival windows the next working day. This is a sample promise for this concept.

Do I need to be at home?

No. Leave items outside or a key with a neighbour. We send photos when we finish and the signed note by email.

Book or get a fixed price

Send it over. We'll clear it.

A photo gets you a fixed all-in price, usually within the hour, 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
