No surprises on delivery day.
Your price is set by what your shipment weighs. We weigh the truck empty and full on a certified scale, show you the tickets, and explain exactly what your estimate lets us charge before you sign anything.
What happens if it weighs more than we said?
Drag the shipment weight. The truck rolls onto the scale, and the two estimate types show what you would pay on delivery day and what could be billed later.
Sample move: 2-bed, Back Bay to Chicago. Estimate 7,000 lb at $6,300 ($0.90 per lb, sample rate).
Binding estimate
The price is fixed for the items and services listed.
- You pay at delivery$6,300
- Billed later$0
Heavier than estimated? Your price stays the same. Only services you add later (say, an extra stop) can change it.
Non-binding estimate
The final price follows the actual weight.
- Actual cost at $0.90/lb$6,300
- You pay at delivery$6,300
- Billed later (30+ days)$0
At delivery you pay no more than 110% of the estimate ($6,930 here). Any balance is billed later, not demanded before unloading.
Spot on: both estimate types land at $6,300.
How the rules work, in general terms. Read the official version: FMCSA Rights and Responsibilities and Protect Your Move. Rates, weights and prices on this page are samples.
If something breaks, what do you actually get?
Interstate movers must offer two levels of liability. The free one pays by weight, not by value. Pick an item to see the gap.
Valuation is not insurance. It is how much we are liable for if your things are lost or damaged in our care.
Full value protection is our default on every written estimate. You can choose released value instead by signing for it on the bill of lading.
Blanket wrap is included on every moveReleased value
No extra charge. Liability is limited to 60 cents per pound, per article, whatever the item is worth.
Full value protection
We repair it, replace it with a like item, or pay its current market value, up to the total value you declare.
Five documents. No guesswork.
Every interstate move runs on paper you can read. Here is what you get from us, and when.
Survey, in person or on live video
A move coordinator walks your home with you, room by room, including the basement, the attic and the storage cage. That inventory is what we weigh against.
Video surveys take about 25 minutesWritten estimate
Binding or non-binding, in plain words, with both FMCSA booklets attached.

Bill of lading + inventory
Every item tagged and listed on loading day. We weigh the truck empty and full, and you can watch.
Delivery and weigh tickets
Check items off the inventory as they come in. You generally have nine months to file a written claim.

What people say after the truck leaves.
Sample reviews for this concept. On a live site these would come straight from each platform, with the date.
"They sent me both weigh tickets the night of loading. We came in 400 lb under, and the bill matched the estimate to the dollar."
"Fourth-floor walk-up on Marlborough Street. They pulled the street permit, ran a shuttle truck, and nothing touched a wall."
"Our coordinator explained released value versus full value in five minutes. We chose full value, and a scratched table was repaired in a week."
