Sacramento electricians · EV, heat pump & panel work

Plan your all-electric home. See if your panel can take it.

Tap what you want to add. The house lights up, the meter shows how much of your panel you would use, and you get a sample "from" price for each part, including a panel upgrade only if you need one.

Build your plan. Watch the meter.

This is a rough planning check, not a code load calculation. It uses typical figures for Sacramento-area homes so you know what to expect before we visit. We confirm everything with a written load calculation on site.

Add load management (sample from $450)A smart device that pauses EV charging when the house is busy. It can sometimes avoid a panel upgrade.

Permit to inspection

What happens, and how long.

The steps change with your plan. A panel upgrade adds utility steps, because the utility has to disconnect and reconnect your service. Tap a step for detail.

    Rebates may apply

Check your utility before you buy.

Rebates and credits for electrification change often and depend on your utility, your equipment and sometimes your income. We do not promise any amount. Tiles for items in your plan are highlighted, with the questions worth asking.

We are electricians, not a rebate program. Before you sign anything, check with your electric utility and the equipment maker what is available at your address. If a program needs paperwork from the installer, we provide our invoice, permit and photos.

    What we do

    Electrification, start to finish.

    Try the planner

    Panel and service upgrades

100A or 150A to 200A, meter and main replaced, utility coordination handled. Older Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels replaced.

    EV charger installs

Level 2 hardwired or plug-in, sized to your car and your panel, with load management when the panel is tight.

    Heat pump circuits

The dedicated circuit, disconnect and thermostat wiring your HVAC contractor needs. We work alongside them on the same permit plan.

    Induction ranges

Replacing a gas range usually needs a new 240V circuit. We run it, set the outlet and leave the gas line capped for your plumber.

    Battery and solar prep

Panel space, backfeed limits and critical-load subpanels sorted before your solar or battery installer arrives.

    Repairs and safety checks

Tripping breakers, warm outlets, flickering lights and pre-purchase inspections. Planned work, Monday to Saturday.

    Who you will meet

    Small crew. Same faces.

    Burning smell, sparks or smoke?

That is not a planning question. Keep it simple and stay safe:

    1. Leave the area and keep people and pets away.
    2. If there is fire or smoke, call 911.
    3. For downed lines or a problem at the meter, call your utility's emergency line.
    4. Do not touch panels, wires or anything wet.

Our office line is for planned work, Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 6 pm.
