How to shut off your water.
Learn this on a calm day. It takes two minutes and can save a floor. If you are unsure, stop and call us; we will talk you through it.

Usually where the water line enters the house, in the garage near the water heater, or at the meter box by the curb.
Turn it off
Round handle: turn clockwise until it stops. Lever handle: a quarter turn, so it sits across the pipe.
Drain the lines
Open the lowest faucet in the house, such as an outdoor spigot, to let trapped water out.
Keep clear of power
Stay out of standing water near outlets or appliances. Switch the water heater to vacation or off.
Smell gas? Leave the house now. Do not use switches, phones or flames inside. Once you are outside, call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line, then call us.

- The surcharge is one flat fee per visit, not an hourly multiplier.
- We tell you the fee on the phone before we send anyone. It is never added afterward.
- If it is safe to wait until morning, we will say so and book you at standard rates.
- Water shut off and nothing still leaking? A temporary fix tonight, the full repair at daytime rates.

Why do you show ranges instead of one price?
Two "clogged drains" can be a ten-minute job or a two-hour one. The range shows what is typical. After we look, you get one written price, and that is what you pay.
What is the diagnostic fee?
$79 (sample) to come out, find the problem and price it. If you go ahead with the repair, it is credited to the bill.
Where can I check your license?
Our California contractor license (sample #0000000, C-36 Plumbing) is on every quote and invoice. On a real site this links to the state license lookup.
What if you are late?
If we arrive after your two-hour window closes, $50 comes off the bill (sample policy). We text you if we are running behind.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. One year on workmanship, in writing. Manufacturer warranties on parts are on top of that.
