Taller houses take longer and need more pole, so that's what the price follows. The first clean costs more because it shifts the build-up on frames and sills. After that, it's the same price every visit.

If the frames turn out to be painted over or have old cement on them, we tell you before we start and you decide.

Pure water

What's in our water? Almost nothing, and that's the point.

Chester tap water carries dissolved minerals. Let it dry on glass and they stay behind as spots. We filter it three ways in the van, so when it dries there's nothing left to mark the pane.

  • No detergent on your glass. Pure water and a soft brush lift the dirt, then a rinse takes it away.
  • Wet windows are normal. They're left to dry on their own. Rain right after doesn't spot clean glass the way it spots dirty glass.
  • What it won't fix: paint splashes, cement or scratches. We'll point them out rather than charge for trying.

We work from the ground wherever we can. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 say to avoid working at height where it's reasonably practicable, and a pole from the pavement does that. We still carry a ladder for short, low-risk jobs, as HSE allows. HSE guidance

"Our top windows hadn't been done properly in years because nobody would bring a ladder that tall. Now they're clear every month and nobody's up a ladder outside the bedroom."
Helen, Curzon Parksample review
"I was told the windows would be left wet and I'd worry about streaks. They dried perfectly. The text with the photo is a nice touch when you're at work."
Mark, Hoolesample review
"Our shop is on the upper Row and they're done before 8. One week they moved us for high wind, but they texted the new day straight away."

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I need to be in?

No. Leave side gates unlocked for the back. If we can't get round, we text you and only charge for what we cleaned.

Why does the first clean cost more?

Frames and sills that haven't been done in a while take two or three times as long. The first-clean price is fixed and shown before you sign up, so there's no surprise on the day.

Is pure water really chemical-free?

We don't add detergent or cleaning products to the water. It's tap water with the minerals filtered out, and the filters are recharged and recycled by the supplier.

Are you licensed?

There's no licence for window cleaning in England, so we don't claim one. We're a limited company (Co. no. 00000000, sample) with £5m public liability cover (sample), and we'll email the certificate on request.

Do you clean inside too?

On request, by appointment, usually twice a year. We quote it separately because it means coming into your home.
